About North Cooperative Bay Taxi

North Bay Cooperative Taxi opened for business in 2001 as Marin County's first driver owned cab company and has since built a reputation of quality service and customer loyalty through the dedication of drivers that operate with a company that not only serves the communities of Marin County but is also owned and operated by the drivers themselves. All the vehicles that are operated for North Bay Taxi are owned by individual drivers contracted as full-time drivers. Although not all drivers own their taxis, they are held accountable not only to the contract they have with the company itself but also by the vehicle owner from whom they lease their vehicle. What this means for a passenger getting into one of North Bay's cabs is that the driver must meet the standards of their contract with North Bay Taxi, and also that of the owner of the taxi that they are driving. All drivers for North Bay Taxi meet the strict requirements set by our insurance underwriters for their DMV driving record. They are screened for federal, state & local violations and random drug tested. . All drivers for North Bay Taxi must hold a current permit issued by the Marin County Taxi Regulation Program. Look for the Vehicle Permit, issued by the Marin General Services Authority, on the rear window of the taxi.
